Amazing but true
Okay, you know the words fiancé and fiancée?
I always thought they were just variations on the same word, or that fiancé was just some ignorant misspelling of fiancée.
Well today I just found out that they are two separate words! Fiancé means ‘a guy who’s engaged’, and fiancée means ‘a girl who’s engaged’!! I didn’t know that!!!
Keep in mind that I’ve never had a single French lesson. So wow, in French, all you gotta do is add Es till you get the right gender? Well that’s pretty easy, maybe I should’ve taken French over Spanish.
I’m sure this means nothing to most anyone, but to me this is pretty exciting news.
