And my remote can eat some batteries.

What sort of mental problem does THIS signify:

I changed the batteries in my remote control the other day, and when I’d replaced them with fresh brand-new Duracells and hit fast-forward, for some reason I expected the movie to fast-foward faster.

And this was on my DVD player, not my VCR.  

That’s not how it works.
