How to announce your engagement to your family

1. Call your family up and invite yourself over on some pretext, such as watching a basketball game.

2. Take your fiancée.

3. Make sure your fiancée takes her engagement ring.

4. Go to your family’s house.

5. Make sure to keep her ring hidden until everyone’s in the room, so no one feels left out.

6. When everyone’s in the room, act normally.

7. Your fiancée should surreptitiously put the ring on her finger.

Where did you metriculate?

“Murray State”?  Oh, I just had to laugh.  I laughed and laughed.

I’ve never heard of this school before.  It sounds like “Lou’s School of Dance” or “Ed’s Medical Center” or “Robbie’s Discount Luxury Automobiles” or “Thor’s Crystal Galleria” or “Trump Television Productions” or even “Pedro’s Salon & Day Spa”.

Sighhhh. If you want me to laugh, just say “I go to Murray State” with a straight face.
