The "got a match?" is because Harry looks like a candle holder (think Beauty and the Beast) when he's holding a pie in either hand and has one balancing on his head. It's not just because his hands are full.

Well I never HEARD of It Happened One Christmas! But if it's got That Girl in it, how could it miss? I will certainly look for it.

About the suicide jump...maybe George's plan was to jump in and then just not swim at all. That would kill him. Or maybe he figured that he wouldn't be able to swim well enough to live since he was all drunk, but then he sobered up when Clarence was in trouble because he's just that kind of a guy. Or maybe Clarence on the way down into the drink had Joseph sprinkle some sober-up dust on George, but Joseph was out of frame at the time, being in heaven.

Now I have no problem talking to myself or to empty rooms, so I will be sure to take your advice and incorporate the holiday line often. Also, I didn't mention it, but it should be obvious that when you trip over something and fall down, especially if it's something really loud or expensive, you should bellow, "I'm all right; I'm ALL RIGHT!!!" And sing some forgotten song as you walk away (not cleaning up any of the mess or offering to pay for the damages).

Thanks for the tip, and the great comment.

In the female version, "It Happened One Christmas," starring Marlo Thomas. They corrected the AS2 thing, making the angel, "Clara Oddbody, A2."

Also corrected was another thing tha always bothered me about IAWL. George trying to commit suicide by jumping off the bridge, then jumping in to save Clarence and swimming ashore with Clarence. So if it isn't high enough/deep enough/far enough for a suicide jump, then how could he have been attempting suicide?

No, in IHOC, Clara jumped in and Mary (counterpart of George) held out a branch for her to cling to and pulled her to shore that way.

Now about the great lines. You forgot "What is this, Uncle Billy? A holiday?" You should always say that when entering a room you expect to have people in it and it doesn't. You may be talking to yourself, but w/e.
