Okay...I debated whether to add this game to my site.

It's a good game, pretty nice graphics for a game like this...nice surprises...but I have issues with it.  There comes a point in this game, after you've done a freaking lot of work, at which if you don't make the right choices your game will just END. Then you'll have to either tell the game to go screw itself (the sensible choice), or if you're obsessive like me you will have to go back and RE-COLLECT everything and then try some other choices...

I would not normally have a problem with this...but when you finally find out what the right choice IS, you do NOT have the following reaction:

"OHHHHHHHH of COURSE!!!"

You instead have the reaction:

"That's a @#$%@#^%#@%$ load of crap!"

Which means that you couldn't've really made a good decisive logical guess, you've just gone through a series of clever deductions to come down to a lousy choice of trial and error.   And since you just end up guessing, you'll probably start all over again more times than I would call reasonable.

It's possible, since this game is a Japanese game translated into spectacularly bad English, that the problem I have with this one particular clue in the game is simply a result of the bad translation job, and that if the person had understood English the clue might have been logical! and actually make sense!  It's also possible that the programmer is simply sadistic and evil.

But it IS a well-made game...not easy, pretty neato in places...

So what I've decided is this.  Here's the game for you to try, and if your game ends and you get frustrated and enraged, as I did, and can't really see yourself going through all this infinity more times, you can read the following hint (highlight the area below to read it).  Cheating?  Maybe...and you can thank me later.

ORANGE WIRE

Not nearly as involved or well-made as MOTAS, kinda buggy, kinda irritating at times, but still, this is a nice light game which doesn't take as long and is solveable.  You wake up in a hotel (in your zerbra striped boxer shorts) with no memory of how you got there...your job, figure out how you got there and then get into your (locked) room. Plus there are a few puzzles to solve randomly thrown in, a little out-of-place maybe, but still fun.

Notice that you're on the fourth floor, in room 202. That's not a hint, it's just strange.  Oh well. No stranger than the ending!  Don't look for a particularly rewarding payoff or anything.

This oddly-named game is a pretty good one to start with...Once you get past the unnecessarily complicated premise (which is easily bypassed), it's got decent graphics, at least it isn't unpleasant to look at, and it's pretty dang complex and sufficiently tricky to keep you thinking. But it is beatable; my girlfriend and I solved it together, so don't give up.

It even has background music. So the programmer guy went all out. However you will probably mute your sound within ten seconds or so, I know I did.

4/20/05:  UPDATE
Apparently there is a new level from the last time I played.  This is really only an update for me.
